The Jedi
The Jedi is the ancient society, in which warriors learn the ways of a mysterious magic, known commonly as the Force. The Jedi also involves the Republic Senate and the Rebel Alliance. The warriors of the Jedi are referred to as Jedi Knights or Jedi Masters; those who seek peace in the galaxy. They continue to defend the galaxy from the dreaded force of the Empire and also the thought-to-of-been-extinct Sith. To be a Jedi, you must be mentally and physically strong. Your intentions must be to use the Force to spread peace. And you must never join the Dark Side of the Force (The Empire, Sith). The training involved is very difficult and the problems that might occur may be strong enough to create anger in yourself, thus taking the "easy" way out, by joining the Dark Side.
The Empire
Otherwise known as the Dark Side of the Force, the Empire is controlled only by the greaty-feared Darth Vader. His former identity was Anakin Skywalker, (Luke and Leia's father). His master was Emperor Palpatine, whom use to be a senator in the Galactic Republic. Together, they created the Empire or the Imperial Forces. Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine's only purpose in forming the Empire was to control the entire galaxy, with mass machines of destruction. Rebelling against this idea, the Jedi took action and quickly formed the Alliance. Yet, the forming of the Alliance was such a small group of people, compared to the hundreds of recruited officers of different ranks in the Empire. The Rebels had no choice, but to remain in hiding, until their day had come to fully put an end to the Imperial forces.
